Background

     The National Academy of Railroad Science (NARS) is an acclaimed institution which provides technical training to the employees of railroads, and other companies which utilize rail transporation.

     NARS is a closely affiliated outgrowth of the Technical Training Center of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway.

     The National Academy of Railroad Science resides on the campus of the Johnson County Community College (JCCC) in Overland Park, Kansas, located southwest of Kansas City, MO.
