This car's heritage comes from the Great Northern, who bought the car new as the
Skykomish River, GN #1260. Burlington Northern renamed the car to Stevens Pass
and renumbered it BNA #22. On 21 January 1999, the BNSF renumbered the car to BNSF #69. The
car has been remodeled by the Great Northern in 1963, and the Burlington Northern in 1982. The
car's job is to function as a crew sleeper, and can accommodate 18 crew members in two
different ways: A) four bedrooms (upper & lower) for 8 people, six roomettes for 6 people, and one suite
(upper & lower) for 4 people or B) six bedrooms (upper & lower) for 12 people and six roomettes for 6 people.
